About me
I have a Master of Studies (MSt) in Psychodynamic Practice (University of Oxford). I am a trained bereavement counsellor and worked with the Oxford Cruse team for many years. I have had experience working with children and young people in secondary education and with University students. I have also worked for 2 years with adults within an NHS mental health service.
In private practice, I offer help to anyone over the age of 18.
I am a registered UKCP psychotherapeutic counsellor and an accredited clinical member of the UPCA (Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association). I am also a registered member practitioner of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the Code of Ethics and Practice of both organizations.
I receive supervision for my clinical work and regularly attend workshops and meetings to keep up to date with developments in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.
I have completed a specialized training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (Core group 5, ISTDP) accredited by the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA).
I have experience in dealing with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement and trauma. I also have experience working with people from diverse cultures.
In addition to offering therapy in English, I speak French fluently and can offer therapy in this language if desired. I can also engage in Italian but the therapy will be conducted in English.
